Is it worth it to buy an '81 atc 200 for $400. The only thing we can find wrong is the cdi box is bad we think.

Seems high, remember it is 20 years old, it will probably be needing more than just a cdi. Engine probably on it's last legs, same for tranny. I wouldnt do it for any more than $200 - and that may be too generous.

I think if it runs smooth, has no frame problems and the plastic is in good shape I'd pay $400. The bike should run OK if given the right amount attention and love and it could be a cheap way to get into the sport.
