It was just for fun. In the local cycle club they had what is called an egg run. You line up in different classes, atv, dirt bike, women, kids and even street bikes on a limited course. Then you take off in the woods looking for an egg with a number on it. This egg has to correspond with a tag hanging within 3 feet. You pick up an egg and a tag and go back to the check point. The first person to pick 25 eggs wins! The eggs are placed in all kinds of terrain since they are hidden on foot. It is sort of an easter egg hunt gone crazy! I am sure some of you have heard of this before and you know it is a great time! Well, in my class there were 27 atv riders we had to search an area of 120 acres through water, up hills, through wooded areas and on trails even the MX track! I am very happy with my 4th place finish! I ran against all kinds of machines: 400EX, 4x4, Blasters, 3 wheelers even a 250r and a banshee. The only machines that beat me were the 4x4's otherwise I was first for the 2 wheeldrives by only 1:15 seconds or so. Now after 5 years the racing bug has bitten again! I don't like to brag but my finish is not so bad considering how long I have been away from the sport and being 29 years old competing against younger riders on so called faster machines and 4x4 machines! Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to tell the story it really makes me feel good knowing I might still be able to be competitive!
