What kinda woods race is it? Like how long, location, prizes, stuff like that...

 

We usually do between 4 and 6 laps of the trail loop in 1.5-2 hours of racing. I will be marking the trail this weekend so I'll have a better idea next week. It is the fallen timber recreation area on forestry trunk road west (then north a bit) of Water Valley. This is roughly in between Calgary and Rocky Mountain house and will be mountain style trails. Cut lines, creek crossings, hill climbs. Its not "usually" too difficult terrain, and unless it rains it won't be too muddy since we are all sport quads I will try to avoid any muskeg. They usually have trophies to 3rd place, I'll know for sure after the weekend, and I'm not expecting much more than 5-6 quads, but am hoping for more.

Sounds interesting, I'd definitely try to make it if I had a way down, my truck is in pieces now... I wasn't at the races but I heard that Klip had his YFZ there and it was noticeably faster than his older ride! Of course he took first...

 

Yeah I've seen him on TV racing seadoos, and I guess he's just as fast on a quad. There weren't any Pros at the race, and the local pro is still getting over a broken arm, but Klip did well to beat those juniors, they are fast! Hopefully he will come out to more races.
