Does anyone know if they still do the Blackwater 100 race. I told my buddy about the races I used to see in the eightys and havn't say any in a while, he wants to enter his Wolverine in it.. I may not be so ignorant but I canceled my subcriprtion to DW in 1990 and I just this month resubcribed to them and 4 ATV Wheel Action. I'll never miss any more issues. No more college and finished builing the house and got married. Getting a steady lifstyle finally.

No more Blackwater races, but: I know where a Blackwater-winning Tecate 3-wheeler remains today! What a goer. Most impressive, under a good rider.

Hey 4Tecate,

Go ride the next best thing. The Ironman in Crawfordsville IN. It's the last race of the GNCC series. Should be right around the start of October. Lots of hills, lots of water, lots of fun! What do you think about a bored and stroked KlX 300 [417] in a Roll copy frame? As a former Tecate 4 owner, I'd say OK! What should we call it? How about the Tecate 44? I might even get my Cannondale deposit back for that.

The West Virginia DNR put pressure on the promoters and hence closed down "Americas Toughest Race".
