Default ltz/kfx/dvx 450 big bore VS ltz/trxr 450

I was woundering of the ltz and its clones in race trim(450big bore etc) will keep up with the yamaha and honda 450's. I have been flicking through a couple mags I have and the ltz and kfx pretty much dominates the pro production and pro classes in 4 stroke mx racing and I was woundering if the new yamaha and honda in stock bore race trim will make mince meat out of the other 2. Thanks

I was woundering this because it seems the kfx and ltz are the 2 main 4-stroke atvs in the pro class and if the yamaha and honda blows them away then everyone will be riding the yam/hon, Im thinking that would be a true market turner(suzuki and kawi will be left in the cold and honda and yam will be the leaders in racing until the other 2 get 450 race quads of their own). Butter yamaha4eva is always a little biased in his opinions...... I definately think that the z/kfx can hang with the yfz once you pump that kind of money into them. But in stock form, no way. The Yfz stomps them. Those z/kfx440's are no joke. The Yfz may still be ahead in the hp dept., but I think it would be a fight....not a beat down as Yamaha4eva says.

Thanks for your comments Flynbryan, I didnt realy think the yfz/trxr would demolish the ltz/kfx 440/450's but I was woundering their performance compared to a stock bore 440/450.

I really think a KFX/LTZ440 or 450 can hold its own against a YFZ450. I've raced both and in the top end a LTZ440 has more than the YFZ but in the low the YFZ has a bit more pull and response to it. Power wise is not much of a difference but it's a $2,500.00 dollar motor kit compared to just a pipe and jetting. You'll still see KFX/LTZ's finishing the top three in big races. Recently @ the Anahiem staduim race, Doug Gust put his yosh LTZ450 ahead of Tim Farr's CRF450. Doug Gust straight-out passed Tim and had the power to do it. With the same rider aboard any of the three (CRF,YFZ,KFX?LTZ) can win on any given day.

I'd say if you bored the kfx/dvx/Z 400's they would run good with the YFZ and the 450r if it ever show's up.

in stock form the yfz would crush the 400's. But if you bored the kfx/z/dvx and piped them, they would probaly run pretty close to a piped yfz.

We are doing big bore kits for the Suzuki's.....and they rip!!! They rev like mad and are very capable of holding their own with the new Yami/Honda's out there......

They all can run together they are so close that it comes to rider at that point. look what doug gust does. Thay are so close when they are built its just pick your color. As for they oh the 450s would crush coment if you dont have an educated comment you ought to keep it to yourself yamaha4eva, built to built is what the question was.
