Well, on the mx track, a banshee is kinda squirrely-even in the air (trust me i know), the power comes on as too much as a hit for jumping. Dont get me wrong, you can jump shees, but not anywhere near as good as you could a honda or the yfz. From personnal experience, my 300ex is a better mx quad than my banshee, the 400ex is a better quad than it, the 250r is better than it yfz and the 450r are better mx quads than a 250r, so more people slide to the 250rs, yfzs, 450rs, more than something that wears a rider out- a banshee.

Also banshees are expensive. You have to buy 2 of everything. Sure the banshee has loads of power but for mx your really dont need that great hit of power your better off with a smooth ride. Not to say that it cant be done. There are plenty of shees that race in the amature ranks. There were a few that used to race pro just check out the one in the alba web site. But it's expensive.

Beacuse the shee has such a wide motor the front of the chassis is also very wide. This in turn forces the a-arms to be shorter which hurts handling and suspension action. I've also been told they tend to nose over in the air.
