Price for Ice Racing Tires
My buddy has a Set of Ice racing tires, studed out like crazy. He wants $200.00 for 3 rear tires and 2 fronts. They have only been used 1 time. They are in perfect condition. Is this a good deal? The front tires are ITP Holeshot XCR I beleave that are studed. The rear are turf tamers studed out. All 5 tires for $200.00 I didn't think that's too bad. I'll have to wait until summer to buy them.
Next winter will be my first race ever. And it's in Farmont Minnesota. Any tips?

I would say that is a good deal, but he used turf tamers. No offense to the Turf Tamer, they are a good knobby, but they are a soft compound tire. They tend to spit studs. They also have the dimple in them that affects traction.
I would get the Cheng Shin Ice Racing tire. You can get them on rims for about $130. Studs are another $50ish. It is a bit more expensive when you're all said and done, but you will have a good tire. The Cheng Shin is a hard compound tire and does not have dimples on the *****.
I have been ice racing for over 15 years and have had great success with them.
If you have a broadband connection, there are some vids of ice racing on my ice page
