I have an 87Lt250r Is it worth the time and money to set it up for racing and what kind of class could I run it in? I take it to the motocross track to play around it is very fast and it is an excellent jumper

Yes it is worth it, quadracers are very good race quads, you need to watch the frame i've heard the frames crack around the shock mounts.Although mine has never cracked an mine is a 86. As far as class you can race in anything you want from beg to pro on the local level.

You got that backwards bud. Im not trying to bash, but quadracers arent racers at all really. i know they are fast, but dont have as good handling as most quads on the market. I wouldnt put one on the mx track either, just cause the frame geometry isnt as superior as newer 4strokes or the legendary R, making them a handful, that is why you see more R's than LT's. Lt's are good for flattracking though, i know there are still pros who use them just for that purpose which they seem to hold their own quite well. But you think you can jump that LT good, just get on a quad with better geometry and handling and see how big you can go on it .

You may not have much of a problem riding mx good cause your used to it (thats what i thought when i had my banshee), but if you get on something w/ better geometry, then you know what your missin out on.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to a mx track the other day and it seems to handle fine for me no problem what so ever for me.. And there was a raptor there he could'nt touch me on that track
