Default Chest protector without arm guards

Hey everybody I just bought a Thor V-Force chest protector and it doesn't come with any arm guards. After trying it on I realized that there isn't really a whole lot to hold it in place. It just has the strap around your waist area and thats it.Will this thing stay in place, especially if I crash?I'm thinking now maybe I should have gotten a protector with arm guards to help hold it in place?

I did the same thing....took the arm guards off. They felt too constrictive...the protector will stay in place... But I'm sure one good rock to the biceps will change my mind....

I always take the arms off my chest protector, when not racing, and I have crashed without them. It stayed in place just fine.

I take the arm guard off too. The straps are too constrictive around the arm and cause arm pump. I've been in a couple crashes with my protector, it will not come off or move around!! If you have the bottom strap at a comfortable tightness, the protector will form to your body.

i have a Fox chest protector, and i prefer having the arm gaurds on. i've only fallen a couple of times, but the gaurds have given me no problems, and when i landed with the arm gaurd no a broken bottle at pismo, i'm keepin them on.
