It also has alot more on it. Skids, Nerfs, etc. I love mine and it runs with the yfz and 450r when they are piped and jetted and mine is bone stock so any engine mods to mine will kick some but hopefully. Just trying to find some.

there not that heavy, the 450r yfz and gasgas dry weight are pretty close. its just that the gasgas holds alot more fluid.

Keep it clean guys, I dont want a 'mines bigger than yours' discussion. I appreciate the comments, but I only want to know if people have had real good or bad experiences.
Basically I want to get back in to quads after 12 years, I have lost touch with what is good and what is not.
The gas gas looks interesting as a racer but also I live in the UK and can make it raod legal - and this sounds like fun.
If the bike is reliable, quick, and handles well then I will be happy. I'm sure that other bikes with other mods could be better and that personal choice is also a big factor (if the gas gas is crap then I wont buy one).
Keep the comments comming - I've just sold a beach buggy so I am ready to spend (just dont tell the wife).

I live my 450 and it keeps up with everyone elses modified 450s but my suspension is ten times better, I have hydraulic clutch and it is way more comfortable to ride. If I could get a little more low end out of it it would be perfect. That is what the 463 kit of Mickeys is supposed to do.

I was lucking enough to get to ride Mickey's 450 last year. It was extremely smooth and handled awesome. the only bad thing was I rode it before he start playing with the engine. I was told that the stock engine needed more accelleration (sp) and when I got to test ride it, it was also in need of a refesh top end. So I can speak for the engine performance from experience, But it handled better than anything else I've ever ridden. Including my 300 GG (which is currently 4sale at my dealer).
As for the bolt pattern front and rear are the same as Honda. There are a couple comnpanies making a-arms for XC racing which will bring it down to 46 or so inches wide.

So far everything has been great. I am just having to replace my rear bearings and carrier because I didnt really maintain it and it was my fault. I had gotten stuck a few times in a sandy river bed and different times in the mud and didnt clean my bearings out and after a few months they ruined the carrier when my axle started moving. I am putting in a billet carrier and bearings for the 250r which fits and that should be alot better I think.
Outside of that everything has been great. I love it and I had my suspension tuned at MX Tech for my weight and they are set up just like Mickeys and it rides awesome. Triple rate 0 preload Ohlins! WooHooo.

Hey FST,
My name is Bryan Axline. I bought a 450 from Wolfe Works Performance. I pretty good friends w/ Matt Highland. I recently, should I say, lost a exhaust valve. The vavle bounced around inside the head a little. he short story is, im gonna need a new head. What will be the cheapest thing for me to do. Maybe the 500 kit. How do I get it.
