Flattrack, TT?

What is the difference between the two? Is flattrack an oval and TT has a few turns? I think thats how i understood it but am not positive.

flat tracks just an oval while TT has left and right turns and most of the time a small jump.

Usually when refering to a flattrack, there is no banking in the turns. Shorttrack has banking.
