go to a&s racing, k&t performance, and packardracing websites and you will find 3 of the fastes quads in the world.

 

Thats a tuff one. Id say a 250r is the best all around 2 stoke Thats just my opinion, Im not sure if its the fastest..... Probably if you put some good money in it.

 

Stock top speed would have to be ds650, lt500 or a cannondale.

 

Can you mod a 250r to smoke some ds650s in drags?

 

Uhhhh, Yeah! You can smoke just about anything you want depending oh how much you want to spend...

 

fastest quad out right now is the ds650 highest top speed...the zilla way back when it was still made was faster for top end and take off i think the yfz may take off faster but it dont top out very high...the raptor and the ds are pretty close...stock for stock

 

well i'll answer those questions in a few months. i did get to race a piped yfz with my piped zilla and they were close 1st few gears then the zilla would pull it, but i didnt get to do it my way or enough times to REALLY find out. 1st i'll tell u how a stock yfz does against all my stuff then i might pipe it and put the hrc 450r vs piped yfz vs piped zilla. watch for it! my friends stock banshee might get thrown in to go against the stock pred and yfz, then we'll pipe that too and have a piped shootout of them all. i cant wait myself. the yfz should win the stock races, but i see the zilla winning the piped one, but we'll see

 

like everyone says, how much do you want to spend?? before i went to xc racing, we built drag bikes for dirt, particulary a polaris sport 400. we got out of drags for that reason, How much can you spend and still have money to eat on?? there are many fast bikes around. we ran 5.2's 5.3's on 250' tracks and hi 5's low 6's on 300'. the fastest 250r ive seen was one built for hillclimbs, ran a 4.4 in 250 on the drag and backed it up!! you name it, someones built it and modded it. 250r case with polaris 400 cylinder and head, banshee with custom cylinders (well over 100hp at the tires, saw the dynosheets), nos'ed quads, etc, etc.

 

I think the fastest out of the box quad has to be a Honda 300 ex, no competition.......

 

I have to say I think this is the first time I've ever seen a post on fastest production quad (stock) where someone thought the zilla was NOT the fastest. From everything I've read on these forums the zilla tops out at just over 80mph stock, which is something that none of the newer quads are supposed to be able to do because of rules and regs ...???
