Raptors fall apart? LOL That was a dumb comment.

The only problem the raptor ever had was the one-way design which they fixed the year after the raptor came out on the market. Besides that there arent any other problems.

Funny you reccomend the z400 as your choice but fail to mention the multiple problems that these quads have because of their weak frame...Ive seen 3 z400's with bent frames in the past 3 months....

Oh well I race my raptor with every other quad you can think of on tracks and i keep up just fine...In fact I raced 2 yz450's this past sunday on a track and smoked them...wasnt even close. People always put the raptor down for bad handling characteristics but most of those same people are the ones that have never owned a raptor let alone even have ridden one. If you are going to only race MX though I reccomend a yz450 or a 450R. But if you are going to race some desert or just want to trail ride get the raptor for sure

 

lol.. o well from what i have heard they fall apart. maybe not though. :S..... i havnt heard of anyproblems with the Z and havnt got one from riding them either. my bf has one and hasnt had any yet, yes the first year that they can out with them the frames were weak, but they inproved the next. What are some problems that you have had with your raptor? if any...

Funny....California has tons of raptor owners and I have never heard of any problems from any of them. I personally know at least 20 with no problems.

 

o well thats awesome. i dont want to start anything... id rather be friends then enimies. We haev people here that have Z's and they havny had any problems either. I mean here we only have like 1 raptor, and the rest are eitheer Z400's or 400EX's... and on that one raptor, the starter hear went. but i am very happy that you 20 or so people havnt had any problems... k?

Raptors would be good if they had wheel spacers or extened a arm's and swingarm. But the way they are set up and the power they got you can't keep the fornt end down in first gear when you are giving her all she worth. Id choose the Z over the raptor but thats me. I own one and my buddy had a raptor and he never drove a Z and we was riding it around the first day he got it and his was being a peice of crap and the choke was clogging up going up going up hillsl(hes not a very good driver to say the least) So I had to drive and he took my Z and he loved it. That was when it was stock. He said it was a lot more comfortable and a smoother power delivery. And a couple days later after he got it fixed he bent his a arm and then like the day he got his new a arm he was riidng around his huge lawn and he turned around and his tranny went. He ahd a White Brothers E series exhaust on his Raptor. And it had good power but I wouldn't want one for myself. But that is me. Havn't heard anythign wrong with 2002 +.
