Who will be going? Saturday is playday, and Sunday will be the race. I plan on attending.

I will be there. We are planning on getting there Saturday afternoon and camping on Saturday night. This will be my first race on my new AXIS shocks.

How far of a drive is it for you SaMsOn?
It looks like about 6 hours one way for me.

I've never been there before, so I'm guessing about 4 to 5 hours. Its a lot closer than Millville though. I hear the course at Akeley is awsome from what I heard.

The track is a 12 mile loop. Very cool!

I have been watching the weather, and I noticed that the temp is supposed too drop below freezing on Saturday night. It could make for a cool race on Sunday morning.....

You guys are going to have a blast. I'm jealous. I've ridden Paul Bunyan a couple times, and from what I've seen, the trails will be great for a quad. I don't know the exact loop, but expect a fast course. If you the race starts at the NJK Ranch, you should be able to really kick it on the first section. Unless it rains, dust might be a problem. Good luck. I wish I were racing. I want to try out my new 250R!

1 Mile West of Akeley on Highway 34
North on Ranch Road - Follow Arrows
200 Miles North of Minneapolis.

Because of some unfortunate events, I will not be attending the Akeley race this weekend.

SaMsOn - you mentioned that saturday is playday, please let me know what this is exactly. Practice for racers only, open to public, etc...

Thanks, ogre

I'm not really sure how it works out. I've never attended their races before, so I'm not to sure.

How was it? How many quads raced? Did you start from the NJK Ranch? If so I bet you went under the powerlines fro a stretch? How'd you do? I'm not a fan of that section. Washed out and rocky. Lots of skid plate banging. How was the weather?
