The track conditions of the WORCS tracks are going to be different at every facility.
Some of the tracks are in drier regions and are sandy, some are dusty, and if it rains, some are very muddy. I've been told that the track in Payette is sandy. The track at Goldendale/Eddieville (October race) is mostly a clay composition and gets very muddy and slick if it rains. Some of the tracks are pretty wide open and fast, others are tighter and more technical, it just depends on the venue.
WORCS is a combination of MX and XC or GP. Most tracks are anywhere from 6 to 10 miles long and the races are timed.
Fatigue and arm pump are major factors in WORCS races, so you will want to have good suspension and run 20" tires in the rear and 22" in the front. A steering stabilizer would be a good idea as well. Kill switches are required.
If you visit the WORCS web site, they have descriptions of all the tracks and registration info.
Hope that helps a bit.

just as raptorchick said the WORCS races will vary depending on venue, they are a mix of both MX and XC with a 6-10 mile loop. the races last ~1 hour usually, kids classes are shorter times, on a short course. the sunday pro/semi-pro main lasts ~2 hours.
nerfs & tether kill switches are required.
stock classes only allow you to change tires, handlebars, and throttle(to twist) if you want. production classes require a factory frame & engine cases.
most riders run 20" rear tires & 21" or 22" fronts. aside from stock class, many riders run wider A-arms & axle with better than stock suspension. some of us are up to 52" wide. most courses are plenty wide, but some are tighter & rougher.
if you are running your first worcs race they will issue a temporary number, but if you plan to race a few more you can get a number assigned. if you do, you need front, rear, and fender numbers on the quad & one on the back of your chest protector or jersey all with the proper color & background for the class you plan to run. this is detailed much better on the WORCS website in the rules... and if you still have questions you can email them for specifics.

Wow, thanks guys. Three more questions, do you need to refule? And are there pits?Do you need a pit crew?

most quads will run the hour on one tank. no need to pit unless you have a flat or something breaks... some riders have a friend/family carry some goggles or other stuff they think they might need, then hang out around the start apron/area during the race... which WORCS considers the pit area.
the only guys that usually have a pit crew are the pro/semi-pro for the 2-hr race. they'll have fuel, tools, spare tires, etc. ready to go, if needed.
