Pro X or CT?
#2
I don't think there is a such product called a CT piston. CT sells Pro X and Wiseco pistons both of which are made for 250R's. I am not too sure what the actual differences are as far as reliability. But Wiseco is forged and Pro X is cast. I would say talk to CT and see what they recommend.

Forged pistons expand faster because they are more dense, which means more piston to cylinder clearance may be needed. I think Wiseco tolerances are more sloppy. If a piston expands faster than the cylinder, it may seize. A cast piston isn't as likely to seize like the forged. Also, PRO-X makes more available sizes than Wiseco, I think. My Pro-X seems heavier than my old Wiseco. Piston weight has something to do with how quick the motor will rev and to which RPM it will rev to(someone correct me if I'm wrong there). For reliabialty, I would go for the Pro-X or a stock ART piston, both being cast.
