My cousin has an 87 250X. It's pretty much all stock except tires, and I think he dropped a tooth on the front. In a race against my Warrior he's not even close to me in the wide open. In the tight trails he blows me away. Mostly because he's a much better rider than I am .. he's been riding since he was around 10 or 12, so he knows how to handle. I've only really been riding since I was 33. From all I've heard and read, the mojave is not really far behind the Warrior stock-for-stock, so I'd have to agree that the mojave is faster than the 250X. 250X is a great bike though and damn near indestructable. My cousin thrashes the hell out of his and it still runs like a champ.

the 250x is just as fast as a 300ex. i hate uneducated ppl. the 250x is a little lighter because its kick start and has higher compression then the 300ex. the 300ex is 282cc, the 250x is 249cc. if anything it seems to me the x might pull the ex....

i agree totally with you the x is faster than the 300ex i know. and it would be a great match but i really thin the x will wil aginst the mojave.

the real only thing thats out dated on the x is the shocks the suspention is really bad but i put 400ex shocks on mine and extended the front out 6 inches and the rear +4 and the thing is like night and day difference the handling is awsome i love my 250x iv done alot of work to it and im running the 400ex in drags and really running it in trails

the suspension is no different from the 300exs, its just on an old worn out quad

the only reason its worn out is its a old bike i mean what do you expect people beat the hell out of them b/c there old and not alot of people know about there potential to be a great bike there almost bullet proof there's not alot of things going wrong with them

the mojave is light as hell too...its a kick start as well...and its compression is really high to...lets face it...yes i like the 250x a lot and its a great quad and totally inpossible to kill...but it is old and out of date...the mojave will take it...maybe not by much but still win...but 1988fast250x will take a stock mojave with out any problems...i want to see some pics man...your quad sounds sick....

dude the mojaves a pig. it weighs a claimed 379, 418 wet weight. the 250x weighs 360.

well id have to agree that the mojave isnt exactly lite as it should be for what it is but look at the facts the mojave has a 249cc DOHC 4 valve liqud cooled engine with 11:1 and a 34mm carb where as the 250x is also a 249cc but is a SOHC air cooled engine and a 30mm carb but i believe it does have 4 valves and the same compression ratio but i dont know that much about the 250x so correct any of my info if its wrong but assuming i got all my 250x facts right the mojave just has a higer performance engine and stock for stock should be able to take a 250x

im not saying the mojave is lite... but at the sametime im also not saying its heavy...its right where it should be for its motor and the whole quad layout...but once again stock for stock the mojave will win....
