While I'm typically not overly competitive(even at the track)I had some issues this weekend

1st off it was hot(100dang deg. which is 25 dang degrees to hot)
2nd I was racing a friends trx450 so I wasn't in the mood to crash

well thats where we start...
after passing some punk kid through the whoops he completely ran me off the track over a berm
SO I LOST IT
I cought that lil sun of a gun and SERVED him in the exact same place...I've never nerfed anyone that hard
I WAS STILL MAD
so I waited for him to pull back on the track so we could continue our race
coming over a large roller into a 180corner he hit me from behind so hard the only thing that kept me onboard was my knee braces getting hung up on the bars

I looked back to see him collecting himself of the ground and begin righting his quad
I restarted and grabbed the front brake and let him have it...on the limiter just throwing roost

so thats when his buddies start gesturing my performance from the side of the track
I gestured back...however it wasn't fixing the anger inside

so I put the quad into an uneccessary slide just before where he was standing and let him have a mouthfull of roost

Do I get the poor sport award or what

 

ya, i would say so. I know what your talking about though, its hard to control yourself when your getting roosted in the face and knocked around.

 

Just a question, where were you racing and which series was it? I was at Glen Helen this weekend- I'm trying to compose of a list of races throughout Ca.

By the way I have two buddies that the same thing had happened from a kid on a trx450 - One was during practice even- wonder if it is the same kid. Either way, there is repect that should be given to faster riders and those with more experience. I found that sometimes these young beginners think that they are so much more then what they are- They need to learn that racing is more than just bumping and grinding your way to the finish line. There are track manners and respect that you give fellow riders, especailly those that are at a higher level and then theres strategies that are invloved too. The better rider uses his brain and tries to out smart his competition not just run him over.

You just don't go pushing someone off their line - find another and go around -


Our buddies schooled the kid I as taking about a couple weeks ago - We just all moved to the right after the start and cut him off. We totally squeezed him out- shut him down from the start - Hope he learned from it-

He packed up an left after the race - didn't even say anything to any of us- Before he had talked all kinds of sh - t - we knew wasn't true. Said he been to places and won races, ones that we even at and had won - and was putting down our bikes too.

I bet if it is the same kid - he will soon get a rep from the more expereinced riders and be cut off from any support that he could have gotten us.


Well - These kids have a lot to learn - I guess if they can't learn by watching and listening , they will have to learn the hard way-

I would off waited for a big jump, let him take the jump first and then gun it, so you could land on top of him!
