You have to follow the rules man, either put the stock parts back on or just run the modified utility class.

Default GNCC utility question please help

I've raced mike in several 12 hour events and even had the chance to win the Utility modified race in TX GNCC last year. Penland and Kilby are great guys!! If you put the air filter and exhaust on, you will be modified, if you leave them off, you can run stock. Mike is sponsored by HMF and does rivit an HMF plate on his stock muffler, but he is stock. Have fun and let me know what you think of racing!!!
