Raptor 660, is it all that great?

Ok, i'm not trying to start trouble or anything but my friend has a Raptor 660 and he thinks that its so great. I personally think that they're over rated. Are they really that fast? I've never seen anyone really race one before. Info would be apprieciated.

Personally i had one for awhile it was ok. its pretty fast. really good low end torque for wheelies. but i sold mine and bought a DS650!!! I like it 100x better
the raptor is tippy and top heavy. but i think a banshee and a ds650 will walk all over it in a race. i have even heard of 400ex and z400 keeping up but they had modifications

a real good friend of mine has a z400 with pipe,filter,re-jet and i can tell you right now he is no where close to me in the power dept.now by no means do i blow him away...but he never once gets the advantage in a drag against my 660r.i`ve ridden with a guy that has a ds650x and i get him thru the gears but loose to the monster top end it has.as for the banshee...unless its been modded i can take those too if it just has a pipe and re-jet.
anyway now to why i posted...
the 660r raptor is a great quad for what it is.up against other quads doing what its not intended to do yes (track) they will not shine and seem overated, but put that ds against the 660r in a woods enviroment and see which will shine.or ride all day on a banshee then a raptor and tell me which made your *** hurt more.the question shouldn`t be which quad is the best, but which quad is the best for what i do?if you ride on the track alot, you`ll want a race bred quad i.e= a 450 or 250r,if your duning or in a wide open space where your gonna want alot of top end then go with the ds650.but if your in a woods/tight trails type enviroment then then raptor is gonna shine the best.yes the 400`s are great trail quads, and mighty fine ones to boot.but they do not have the raw low end power a raptor has.you can lug them down to the point of stalling hit the throttle and they will pull hard..you can`t do that with alot of the other quads out there.
one more thing...the raptor in stock form has alot of its power corked up.just by adding a re-jet and pipe will wake it up tremendously.just ask to ride your buddies quad and form a opinion of your own about it.
