Question for mx racers?
I haven't raced in years, but it's pretty much the same now. All the lower classes than Pro get trophies. Sometimes there can be other prizes awarded but it's all for trophies below pro class.
Most payouts for pro class racing is based on the number of entrants. The entry fee money is pooled and divided along a set pay scale. Sorry I can't offer a solid number, but it's always different based on your track and organization.
Individual tracks usually have their own series as well. Like the track here in my town has a winter series just on their own tracks. In that series the non-pro winners got a free membership to the track for the year.
Alot of local shops offer things like helmets and gear to winners- especially if it's a bigger event and they can get publicity out of it.

Just trying to get an idea.
I run a flattrack series here in Alabama and our #'s are a little subpar to say the least and I offer a heck of a lot more that that.
I run 4 classes:
Mini quad: 50% payback + trophy for 1-3, @ every race. The top 3 in the championship points get stuff from my sponcors including free oil for oil changes, t shirts, airbrush work, & parts @ my dealer cost.
Beginner quad:50% payback + trophy for 1-3, @ every race. The top 3 in the championship points get stuff from my sponcors including free oil for oil changes, t shirts, airbrush work, & parts @ my dealer cost.
Pro-Am: 80% payback + 1st place trophy every race, top 3 in the points get the same as above with a free port & polish to the winner.
Open-Pro: 120% payback + trophy for 1st place, top 3 in points get the same as above again with the port @ polish.
Our trophies for the championships are 6" tall for 1st and shorter for 2-3rd.
