Although 2 acres is not alot of land for a track, Consider combining jumps or landings to conserve space. Dont do this if there is going to be more than a handful of riders on the track at any 1 given time. By combining I mean make jumps that have 2 different take off directions to them. It is difficult to explain what I mean, as I am not talking about a reversable direction jump (where you can go takeoff to landing, or landing to takeoff) but am suggestion a takeoff that points to 2 different landings. This also conserves dirt. It is a good idea to make double jumps that have tabletop landings, meaning that you have a 10-15ft gap with a 10ft table to land on. Remember that if you are a skilled jumper that you can also make it so that you jump over another ramp Ie. in the 10-15ft gap suggested earlier, you could have a little 20ft double that you can hit if you were to "t-bone"the original jump path. Just be careful, cause if you dont make the jump, its gonna hurt bad.

ME,jviper85 and a couple other kids are building a mx track right now.We have about 85 percent cleared and stumps removed. It is about 25 foot wide all the way through. We have been working since november. It kind of looks like a sewing machine when you draw the layout paper. All this snow and rain has really messed us up.we are trying to to find a guy my mom used to work with that has a bobcat that we can used he said but we haven't been able to catch him at home. When we do we have to dig 2 creeks out and build the jumps and do some grading.Yes 2 acres isn't much but if you make lots of corners and some medium straights it will be enough.Ours is about 4 acres and doesn't take up the whole thing.there is alot of roon in between straights. It has to be wide enough to get 2 qauds sideby side on going fast safely.25ft has seemed to be good enough for us.Me and another kid that are building got the 300ex and blaster out and went over it about 300 times and got it worn down good where it looks like a track.I am nervous about building doubles on it because the other kids aren't real brave kids and haven't been ridin long even though one of them thinks he can ride.I have been ridin since I was 4 and and still consider my self to be learning.
I know you will love to have your own track.
moded out 86 trx250r
97 300ex
90 blaster

I've been thinking... I was told an acre was about the size of a fooseball field... If this is true you could make a hellavalotta jumps on this little spot. Make the track like a supercross track. Lots of turns and short fast straight aways filled with doubles and you need atleast one big triple to make it fun hehe. I'd add a whoop section and one wide open straight. Just a thought....
