Thought it would be fun for those that follow the GNC Nationals to do a few predictions. I play in several fantasy SX leagues, but this is the closest thing I will get for ATV racing. I would like to know who you think will end up the top five for the overall GNC championship. Then list 3 sleepers, or those who have the potential of cracking into the top 5. And I will report back at the end of the year to see who was the closest!
Here is my top five:
1) Tim Farr (consistent in both MX and TT)
2) Travis Spader (last years champ, but with new sponsor that may hurt)
3) Shane Hitt (strong TT skills pull him along)
4) Jeremiah Jones (super fast MXer still learning TT)
5) Doug Gust (strong MX skills pull him along)
My Sleepers:
1)Ben Jackson (needs to stay injury free)
2)John Natalie (has a lot of potential, poor showing in opening round)
3)Joe Byrd (been at it a long time and still fast)

I was tempted to list Dana Creech as a sleeper, but the pro class is a big step from the A class and he has a lot of learning to do in TT's.

I dont think there is really anyone else that has the potential of breaking through from what I saw in GA. But then again, that was only the first round. We will see how it goes in KY. I pick Shane Hitt to win the overall in that race.

 

Jeremiah Jones is the fastest MXer I have ever seen. In the opening round, the only NACs rider that didn't break was Dana Creech. John Natalie was smoking the second moto until his NACs ride broke. I'm not much into TT, but here is my pics for MX....

It will be an interesting year of racing. It could be up for grabs. However you definitely can't count Tim Farr out and Travis Spader. They would have to be my favorites to win I also feel Doug Gust could tear things up if they get the Suzuki dialed in. My sleeper picks are Dana Creech (that is one sick dude!) and Jeremiah Jones (I heard he trains as if there is no tommorrow) Like I said it will definitely be interesting this year!

I have to agree with Lurc. Byrd is a man on a mission this year he will finsh in the top 5. if he can keep his bike togeather. Macon must have been murder on ever ones bike though.
