The gas prices sure do suck! I filled up my ride the other day and thought I was buying race gas! I was looking for a box van to race out of but I think I am going with a cargo 1/2 ton van. That way I will only spend $400 dollars getting to nationals.

When I am traveling on the road going to the races it is strange how the prices vary from state to state. Missouri used to have some of the cheapest gas, but know it is up there with the rest. This past weekend this was what I paided for gas: St. Louis-$1.69, Evansvill, In $1.57, Charleston WV $1.59, and Danville,VA $1.35. I spent $190 on gas for the round trip and I got about 17 mpg. This was with out the trailer this time because of the distance. I don't know how some people can aford it with taking off from work, hotel rooms, gas, entry fees, etc. and doing this every 2 or 3 weeks.
Is golf cheaper but is it as much fun?

Golf is fun but you got to use it to complement racing. Go golfing the day before a race and you won't have to worry about getting mad at the race. All of the frustration will be left on the golf course. Well I guess it depends on how you golf anyhow. As far as it being cheaper I don't know. To golf here is as much as the entry fee for a local race so I don't know....

Boating might be cheaper, but it all depends on how much beer you can drink.
Scott, I can use your help at any of the races. Where I realy need the help is at the TT races on Sat morning. Remember the difference between nerfbars and footguards. Yes you can help at Red Bud.

Hey, I think you may be referring to me. I am one of Scott's teammates. You know, the warrior guy from GA. I do know the difference. hehe. I too won't be in TN because of the gas prices and the fact that I am just plain broke still after GA and KY. hehe. Oh yeah, my quad is broke too, dammit.

I couldn't remember which one of yous had the warrier. May now that it is broke you could go and get a newer quad? But, you are broke so I guess that is out of the question also. Maybe it is cheaper to fix that buy? See you at Mich.

tprender, What company would you go with for motor mods on a R? I am going to race xc on bike and guad but only need motor mods on quad. I was thinking of the 300cc kit (lrd) that Balance uses, what are your thoughts?
