Can someone tell me what rules their is for atv mx racing,Ihave raced mx bikes in the past but have been out of the sport for 8yrs and never really paid attention to the atv's but i want to start racing the raptor. Thanks for any info

Most places require a tether cord. some places require MX boots and nerf bars. and every place requires a helmet.... I dont know what else to tell you. Yellow flag caution, red flag stop etc. I'm sure you already know that heh.

 

There is a Texas Quad MX series and you need to get hold of them to find out what there dates and what they require at there races.

 

Thanks for the info i figured that i needed the tether cord but didn't know about the nerf bars just didn't want to show up for a race and be told that i was missing something.

 

I would think that they will require nerf bars on any MX track. It is a good idea to have them if you are racing MX and TT. If will save you feet and engine when you crash in a corner with some other rider.

 

where I race my 400EX they require over the ankle boots. Number Plates front and back. Must be AMA member. Long Sleve Racing jersey Racing Pants and gloves thats all here at our local MX track
