Hi, I have a race 5-19-01. It will be the first time I race, but judging by the mods I have listed below, is there anything else I should have! I am running a 14t contersprocket now and stock in the back, the track I am racing at is a MX track, so should I change the gearing (its a SMALL track) Please help, thanks, and I will let you know how i did.

What kind of tires do you have?
If your running 18" rears, the 14 tooth front should be fine.
If your running any larger tires on the rear, I would drop back to the stock front sprocket.

The stock rears are 22". I would change your gearing back to stock for the MX race. Acceleration is more important than top speed on a small MX track.

I would concentrate more on handling modifications than engine mods. All the power in the world wont help if you are bouncing around like a basketball.

Definately go for handling mods first.

Actually, don't worry about mods at all. Just get out there and race. Once you try it a few times, you will know what you need.

I have a 400EX with triple rate fronts, and a +4 axle. I know exactly what I need next: Exercise/Endurance!
