I want to get into racin and right now I have a Warrior which I wouldn't ever race cuz there to heavy. My cousin has a 250x thats almost race ready and will sell me it for a cheap price. Are they good for racin and what class would I be in?

 

You could race in the Open Amateur class, or 4 stroke 2 stroke-250. Your class will be running 300ex's, mojaves, and blasters

 

A 250x is a decent race quad. The suspension is a little bit weak, but its a good beginners quad. With a little work, they have real good power, I had a 300ex with a big bore kit (true 300) FMF pipe and a jet kit and I could pull the holeshot over 400ex's nearly every time, they would always get by me on long straights, but it had real good holeshot power.

The 250x is definately better than a warrior in my opinion. And like was said earlier, you will be racing against 300ex's, Mojaves and Blasters most likely.
