I just bought some 104 octane boost for my truck it comes in a litle black botle. It says it will treat 83 litres and increase octane about 5 points. I know this is most likely a stupid question but, What if I used this in my quad but only use it on say a 25 gallon can or two (22 litres each) would this hurt anything on my twostroke engine in my 250r?
because i have heard that many additives are not good for high performance two stroke engines.

 

Unless you are running a high compression engine, octane boost won't do a thing for performance.

 

I am running a higher compression engine and plan on running even higher. Will the octane boost do the same as race gas without hurting my engine?

 

it should not hurt any thing but if i were you i would run race gas that way you know what the octane level is

 

I have run the octane booster in my banshee and my 250r when i cant make it down to buy av gas.It will not hurt your motor in any way.There is another topic about running av gas instead of race gas also.Av gas is only 2.40 a gallon instead of 5.00 a gallon for race gas.Its actually cheaper to do iy that way instead of octane booster
