Yes its true. I was at Dirtworld MX Track(about 25 minutes southeast of Ashtabula, OH) last saturday for practice. The guy I went with called me monday night and said that he had talked to one of his co-workers who was also at Dirtworld and was parked right beside Tim. He was on a very plain looking yz quad with #5 on the plates. I just figured that it was some local that rode there all the time, but it was him. That dude was flying. He sure smoked my a$$, but I dont feel so bad now knowing who it was.

Same thing happened to me, except for it was Johnny Hale and not Tim Farr. Some guy practically jumped over me at Badlands MX and I was like, "Damn, that guy is fast." Well, later on I was talkin to Lonestarbanshee and he said, "You know that guy you said jumped over you? That was Johnny Hale."

It's crazy how those pro guys can handle their quads. They throw those quads around in the air like they're bikes!

I've practiced with Johnny Hale a few times, too. (here in Las Vegas)... I saw his '#48 - Hale' chest protector hanging out the side of his truck though, so I knew who it was right away. He's a cool guy, and you're right about riding next to those pros and seeing how they throw their quads around. Heck, Johnny hopped on my friend's 400EX and threw out a heel-clicker over the 70-foot table out here like it was no big deal.

But nothing was as cool as seeing Kory Ellis, Johnny Hale, and Josh Frederick enter a local amateur race here in Las Vegas and battle-it-out. When I forgot my camera, I drove all the way home and back just to video the race! Even the motorcycle racers were cheering them on.
