I Need a RACER
#14
I know this sounds dumb, but if I were you, I'd go out and get a Polaris Scrambler 400 2x4! These things aren't real fast stock, but, if you get a kit from hpd racing or hot seat performance, then these things will rip! I'm talking 65-75 hp!! NO LIE! They'll smoke stock Banshee's by 6-10 bike lengths! If you don't believe me then check out their websites!! GOOD LUCK ON YOUR DECISION! Hey, anyways, why would you wanna have what everybody else has? (ex. Banshee, Blaster, 400ex, quadracers, etc? Modify the Polaris and people will be awe when your ripping past the Banshee's! They might be automatic, but don't let that stop you, (clutch kits!) Hope I was some help. I'm a dirt bike rider (Kawasaki KDX200), but I love Polaris wheelers.

I Had the same question I asked my self a few weeks ago after a Arena Cross where I realized my quad was beating the heck out of me. But I wasn't looking to spend huge money just to move up a few possitions, not to mention I have 5 kids.
I looked at all the 4-strokes, got to say road them all and the Z400 had the most bang for the buck, but the C-dale was the master. If you get over sticker shock from a C-dale.
I ended up finding a LT250R for $1000. I think it was a good choice. I was looking for a TRX250R but to be honest if they didn't want a fortune for it, well it was junk. Realy wanted a R but take my advice, take about a year to find one and maybe you'll find a sleeper not a washed up racer.
Take another piece of advice from a old man who has been at this for nearly 30 years now. Buying and modding quads so you have 10K in one before you take your first lap. Not only will you not be racing any time soon but you won't be doing it for long.
