i have to work friday night until about 1:30AM....

Heh Im going to be there. I'll be driving brand new dodge 3500 blue with a ds650 behind it!! I wonder how many are going to be at the race heard it was going to be dusty

it was extremely dusty. there were 45 quads and they had to run 2 rows on the start. it was so dusty that the first lap i mostly just guaged my position on the rider in front of me, i got tangled with others twice in corners & i had to pull over a couple times to try & clean off my goggles, ironically my 2nd lap time was faster than the 1st... didn't have as much dust to deal with. i talked with the guys at the finish line and check point and they said they couldn't water & irrigate the track due to the fact that it had been so cold... they hadn't had rain in a long time either.

i came in 4th in the 250 class, 26th overall, and about 10th of the 2-lap race... (i think)
my brother DNF'd due to the fact that in one of the wrecks he had an argument with a barbed wire fence and lost... he needed 3 stitches in his upper lip.
i saw a few quads by the side of the trail even on the first lap... so the were a few other DNF's as well and always is.

i think i will determine if i'm going next by if there has been rainfall to help out the dust situation. the spring race wasn't anywhere near as dusty.

 

I was there placed second overall first in 4stroke. I'm just glad I ended up second into the first turn. There was no way to pass in that much dust even with 1 person in front of you, although he was hauling major butt. I had fun though I've done it before and will do it again.

hey DSracer, my dad was filming and i'm pretty sure he got you in part of it... most of the video stinks, it's definitely not a spectator race... i wish i had a way to post it somewhere online
