you'll pick up a couple 1/10's. Depends on how good your setup and tuning is. Id say a 4.8 or so, depending on what you consider "low 5's"

 

What's the best kind of carb to run. I see ftz has some and some of the guys on this forum are high on lectron?

 

I'm using the Lectron on gas and so far has done great for me.I do have one set up from Dennis Packard for alky.If your into Drag racing or Hillshooting this is the carb for you.I first ran the Mikuni 44mm 4.9's in 100yrd dash,bought the Lectron gas carb and it was like night and day difference,after tuning it though.Now my quad does 4.53'S in the 100yrd dash.These carbs are made for Drag Racing.

 

iv seen a 250r go 3.6 to 3.7

4.0's cool,wish I could get alky right on mine,I'd run both alky and N.O.S.

 

3.6 on a 250r? it didnt utilize a 250r bottom end...couldnt have. Id have known about it.

 

oh, sorry i didnt metion it had a xc 700 motor in it. lol

 

i have a 86 lt250r frame with a kaw750cc H-2 about 156hp it run low 4's on racing fuel

 

That was spinning all the way down the track and still picking up a lot of speed and the end of the track. I have been clocked with police radar at over 130+mph by the michigan state police last year. Needless to say it was a friend of a friend the was running the radar so yes i am still walking the streets and tearing up sand.
