You will need a kill switch and nerf bars to race. Start in the beginner class and see how you do. Go at your own pace and see if it is your cup of tea. If you have any questions at the races, just come ask me.

Hey WP...do you need membership for AVQR or is it pay and race? I don't have anything planned Sunday, so I might show up. The track looks pretty nice from the sidelines, think I'll give it a try. Late...

They do have a membership fee, but you do not need it to race. The membership saves you $5 a race and allows you to gain points. Racing is $35 and gate fee is $10 like Glen Helen. It is the smoothest track I have ever ridden.

Did anyone make it out? I got the cold real bad Friday and have been inside all weekend long. I hated to miss the race and loose out on valuable points, but safety is first. Besides, the last two times I raced sick I was puking like crazy.

I couldn't make it either...my wife broke out the whip and had me planting bushes all day Sunday. Oh well..gotta do yardwork before I can play!!! I figure its an even trade.

Hey WP and physco,

What kind of age requirments etc. My son wants to race and me and AMA had it out because hes only 14 and AMA requires 16 on quads but younger on bikes.

Thanks, he's dying to race.

Sandfan...since your so close to Glen Helen, try the ITP Quadcross series. Classes range from Pee-Wee to Pro. The next race is March 30th. Check out the website for schedule, photos and classes.

At LACR and Glen Helen there is no AMA membership required and there is no age limit. Even the little kids have races on the pee-wee track. Get yourself and the kid out there and start racing.
