The stock rear shock probably wouldn't hold up to MX as long as the aftermarket shocks would. If you're going to spend the money on the rear shock, you might as well just buy a new one and get it done right.
JMO... other than that, it sounds pretty good as long as thats not the order that you do the mods in.
Suspension is the most important thing in racing... motor mods should always come last cause you won't be able to use the extra power if your stock suspension can't handle it on the track.
Oh, and how much compressiong are you wanting to run? I've heard a lot of people say that if you run over 10.5:1 that you should run race gas. If you don't have easy access to race gas, go w/ the 10.3:1 piston and run premium (93 octane) gas. A-arms skids are pointless for MX cause you'll just get mud caked up on the plates and it will just weigh you down and be a hassle. You should also add a tether kill switch to your list, and maybe some new aluminum handle bars would be a good idea as well. Other than that, I would look into shaving off extra weight... like getting an aluminum bumper and shaving the fenders. Shaving the fenders in itself doesn't really shave off weight, but those fenders will build up a lot of mud in races and that does weigh you down.
Ofcourse, all my suggestions are MX related.

Gussett the heck out of that frame. Surfer's and mine are falling apart and we are constantly welding them up. It is six weeks before aftermarket frames are available. Also, I like the mods. You can't go wrong with those. Have you seen the pics of mine yet?

WP hey do you run race gas? where is race gas sold? how much? i also thought the trinity 440 kit put out 50hp yr dyno only says 45.
im not so shure about mx. the jumps are big. i moved to the country out here and its all flat. the biggest thing iv jumped is a 3 foot tall ramp i made of snow. =\ i could clear a snow man that was 4.5 ft tall so the jump was ok. i was shocked when my mom let me jump her car. i had to practice with the car parked next to the ramp a couple times. i ended up clearing it by about 6 feet. i was jumping about 24 feet. the run up to the ramp was only 40ft so i would hit 3rd right befor i jumped.
any way WP have you herd of paradise calli? i will be there this summer.
plans might have changed on me getting my own z. =\ my friend is selling a ltz250 for 700 so i might be buying it. i figure i can fix it up and sell it for about 2grand.
here are the prices on what i want to get if i buy a z
trinity 440 kit with a stage IV pipe $1900
proA nerfs 220
holeshots with bead locks not sure are the rim prices per rim? if so then like 600
proA skid plates 90
k&n filter with outer ware 40
hot cames ?
histon clutch basket 100 something
denton a arms or houser +2 D= 735 not sure on houser
front tcs zps shocks 750
denton swing arm or viper+1 d= 735
lonestar axel 300
stock rear shock with zps conversion kit 400
do these sound right?
what do you think on denton racing?
in the march issue of atvaction they mod a z with denton and they are the ones who say a moded rear shock will work.
Wp how much did you pay for everything on yr z? did you send your piston to trinity? or did your kit come with one?

My last dyno run was at 48hp and we did a few more mods after that. I run VP Ultimate 4. It is $8 a gallon and I get it from the local motorcycle shop. As far as prices go, I have been in the wonderful world of sponsorship and I have no idea.
