The REM track was unprepared, but the main track for the dirtbikes was. They took a lot of **** for that and unfortunately the ITP guys got a load of it too. ITP is a sponsor and they voiced their opinion about the track not being ready twice now, but they are only a voice. I appreciate their involvement and support for quad racing. It was way rough and it had HUGE potholes. I blew the start in moto one, started fifth, moved to second in the first two turns, then eventually I was passed on the last lap for a third. The second moto was more to my liking with a holeshot and the win. I was happy to end up with an overall win.

Not sure yet what happen but on the second lap of practice it just stalled. It's either two things: the timing chain or a bottom end bearing. I sure hope it's just the timing chain. Cory was lucky I had to race a completely stock 400ex. The good thing is I didn't get last and on the second moto, I was all over John (raptor). John won the first moto. The good thing about riding a stock quad is that it makes me appreicate all the after market mods on my 440ex. If Cory thought the poleholes (braking bumps) were bad, get imagine on a stock quad. I should just practice on a stock quad and only race a modified quad. I think it would make me a heck of a better rider.

Blew a f-u-c-k-e-n hole in my new piston. It looks like a mini cruise missle hit it. My intake valve broke off. Don't know why and how but the ticking noise was my piston hitting the valves. I wonder if my timing was off. Time to see Trinity. I hope they do a good job and don't gip me like they did with my so-called harden facing rocker arms.
