First off I was talking about the cameras I own only (models 1200 and 1300). I have no clue what the specs are on the GPS version camera. Here are the specs for the Contour HD model #1300 1080p camera...Oh and I went out tonight and shot over 2 hours of footage on a single battery and it was 5 degrees standing still...

BATTERY & POWER

Removable Lithium-Ion Battery
Record Time: Up to 2 hours
Battery Life: 2.5 - 3 hours

MEMORY

Removable MicroSD
Capacity: 32GB (2GB included)
Average Record Time
HD >> 30 min / GB
SD >> 60 min / GB

Figured I would add that before you claim you get better record space also.

As for the Action Cameras side by side comparison all that proves is that your camera is set up better out of the box then the others. Honestly after watching that clip I wouldn't want to buy any of them...lol. The contours are set at low bit rate, low sharpness and need to be adjusted (as do the others) to shoot great video. My 1080p is even shooting pretty decent night vids from my testing now that it's set up to do so. I would hope that any one spending $300 or more for a camera would realize they needed to adjust all these cameras. That's why I was hoping you would post the video you shot since being a representative of the company you obviously would have had your camera setup to shoot great footage. All I can tell from what you have posted is that's as good as it gets with yours where I know the other 3 can do better.

If you want I can post some real videos shot with both non GPS contours to go side by side with what you posted. Audio also...And they would be ATV videos since this is an atv website. Keep in mind I was trying to get you to show what the camera could really do and I still haven't even mentioned the problem with the video you posted or a few other things I have come across while researching your product over the last few months. Oh and you never answered my question about being able to use lens adapters and other lenses with your camera?

Below are memory averages filming in 1080 / 848 / 720 with the ATC9K
• 1080p/30fps: 1 GByte can store: 9 min video. 32GB can store 4h48min
• 720p/60fps: 1 GByte can store: 10 min video. 32GB can store 5h20min
• 720p/30fps: 1 GByte can store: 15 min video. 32GB can store 8h
• 848p/60fps: 1 GByte can store: 15 min video. 32GB can store 8h

"all that proves is that your camera is set up better out of the box then the others." "that's as good as it gets with yours where I know the other 3 can do better."
Anyone in the market for an HD Action Cam has several fantastic options to choose from. The GoPro, Contour, Drift Etc are all amazing camera's. Like me; I'm sure you have read through all the "Professional" unbiased 3rd party reviews that contrast and compare the features that make each camera a "good fit". None of these "Professional" 3rd party "Unbiased" reviews support the statements made above.

At this time no lens filters are available for the ATC2K, ATC3K, ATC5K Or ATC9K.

Thanks for the answer on the lenses. This is the last thing I will post and it has nothing to do with any of the cameras but your comment about "Unbiased Professional 3rd party Reviews"

First off the review you posted isn't a review of all the cameras it's an "Out of the box test" not a real review on the cameras. And all these companies are biased...Sorry but they are! Very few review sites would do an honest review and risk upsetting any manufacturers, advertising dollars and free product to review. The only reviews I trust are from Non Professionals Review sites, people who actually spend time to set each device for optimal recording, and test every feature against manufacturers specs, test every feature against each of the other cameras and put out a real side by side render that doesn't just stick all 4 cameras out of the box next to each other on a crappy mount that renders most of the footage useless due to camera shake. And most of the time these unprofessional reviews are done by people who actually have spent their own money for the product and don't worry about upsetting any manufacturers with writing and publishing an honest review....

This industries so called "Review Professionals" are unfortunately extemely biased

I have to side with Butch450. I just watched that video, and if it was 1080i then someone either rendered in post wrong or had something set wrong on the camera because it didn't look all that great for being 1080 to me. I have a Contour 720 and it blows that thing away.

To me this camera looks more like a kids toy.

Personally, I could care less about the screen. The wide angle lens with a teeny tiny bit of experimentation you can become an expert with the mounting and get some awesome footage. There is a reason the Discovery channel uses the Contour series for some of their shows.
