It's nice to see them in action. I thought about getting a Rokon years and years ago but always found reasons not to get one. They have about as much horsepower as a scooter I had but they weigh around 4 times as much. I don't think I would be happy with the 35 MPH top speed or lack of rear suspension.

It's not 2WD but with those fat tires I think it would go anyplace I would want to go. It's street legal too so you could ride into town for food or gas.

 

It actually is 2 wheel drive. It will not break any land speed records but is great for trail riding or going straight through the woods. I do ride it on the rode to get to nearby trails.

 

I know the Rokon is 2WD but was pointing out the Yamaha TW 200 wasn't. If I had a 7HP Rokon there's no way I could keep up to my friend on his dirt bike. If I was just going to find a way through the woods where there's no trail, the Rokon would be great, but it's illegal to leave the trail. The guys I ride with have a tendency to go 50+ MPH down the road coming back from the trails too. A Rokon does have it's place, it's just not anywhere I ride. I like the concept though.

 

Gotcha..misread that. It is actually road legal where I'm at, however wouldn't recommend driving it down the interstate lol. It tips off at 35 mph. There is definitely a use for them but not everyone.

 

They have clubs here, guys get together and ride slowly thru the boondocks. Could be fun, but I'm only 66 years old, so....
