250R

 

My wife and I just baught a toybox trailer and are finaly getting into quads after talking about it for 8 years. I used to ride a quad at an old job but for the life of me I can't remember the CC on the thing, I just remember it was a Yamaha and a lot of fun. I'm fairly large (About 6-04) my question is, if I'm not looking to race, just tool around, is a 250 big enough for me or should I go 450? I have allready decided to get a 4 stroke because I want to use it all year.

 

I got that info from my local dealer who went to the demo for the 04 yamaha products....

 

the 450 is definantely faster than a stock 250R. i have a ct 330 in mine n i am neck n neck wit da 330. but honda is comin out wit dere 450 in october r september r sumin. i would wait for that

 

I would get one of the new 450's for sure. it's going to be tough to beat them on the holeshot.

 

My friend who has a 03 banshee with boost bottle FmF sst pipes tangled up with one of the yfz450 on stock tires one day at the river and they was neck and neck he couldnt pull on him.

 

For the track the 250r is an awesome bike. But the 450 is specially designed for modding out and racing track, it is as race ready as there is besides the cannondales. Personally I'm extremely excited abou the new honda 450r coming out in sept. hopefully. They're releasing a bunch of info on it sept 10. Knowing honda reliability and craftsmanship it should be a sweet bike, you might want to wait for it and it should more than give the new yami a run for its money, but i'd say for you go with one of the 450's.

 

250R4life is a SELL OUT!!!!!!!!!! just jokin. but yes the 450's r bad but i will always be on a 250R no matter what the circumstances.

 

I have a 2003 Banshee and my friend has a 03 raptor that has over 1000$ in work and I still beat him in a race. So I think the driver was a stupid fawker and didnt know how to drive!
