Does NJ have titles with there ATVs?

Yes they do, in the past I've bought used quads where the person did not have a title, I just wrote down the make of the bike vin# and the persons name and address and drivers lic # and had him sign it as a bill of sale.......I never registered those anyway so I dont know what kind of problems you would have at dmv, they have there heads up thier a$$'s when you have the right paper work. NJDMV sucks.

Fuelman, thanks for your help. I went to my local dealer today and he told me to bring in the vin# and they will look it up and get a title, but I don't know if the title will come back in the other guys name or how it works. all I got is the slip from the registered check i gave him so I don't know what to do.
