Default KFX V-Force opinions

I need some help. I've been riding for years and found that shifting a quad sucks to me. I have a polaris scrambler 500 4x4 all moded out. It's fast enough but with its front strut suspension it can't handle jumps. Those arm bushings always blow out. It's too bad because I haven't found a quad that can keep up with me in the woods yet. Even on the track only the banshees can't beat me because I can't fly the doubles, anyway. I've been looking into getting the Vforce. What’s the consensus on this quad and can it although it's heavy handle jumping. I don't race but want a quad that is competitive. I was reading some posts out here that someone is working on serious mods for this quad, like ignition and clutching changes. When will these be available and from where? any info will be helpful. thax.Text

my uncle bought a v force when they came out, and he is selling it right now. He woods rides, and said it was too heavy, and a bit too much power for him. I rode it, and thought it was heavy, and a bit much for me, but a good overall quad. I know that they are big, and are kind of heavy, but for jumping i am not to sure on how they are.

Thx both of you for your info. I'ts so hard buying a new machine. You spend so much money on them and you want to make sure you pick the right one.

the only other thing I could suggest is that you ride it yourself.

I have a stock V-Force and love it. I trail ride it and we have a track through the woods. It climbs hills without any effort. It is a big machine but has plenty of power to handle it. I just started drag racing it this summer & have done quite well with it. It does handle most jumps pretty well, although suspension would be a big improvement. We have gps top speed of 73.4 on the road. Its a fun machine to ride, punch the trottle and hang on. I am on the small side and have no problem with this machine. I have owned a Honda 250ex, Suzuki Z400 but I have had the most fun on this machine. The automatic has definalely given me confindence in my riding albilities.

V-Force (Orange) Stock for now

I think the KFX is a great quad. If I where in the sport market that's the quad I would buy. Automatic, Big v2 motor and reverse, what else can a guy ask for. The key to big machines it to let them do all the work and the Kaw has the power to do so...
