Default Buying A Raptor?

Yo! I have been jumping from dealer to dealer Looking to trade in My 2002 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and get myself on a new raptor. All I have been getting is Jerked around. I have been offered My bike PLUS $1,000-$3,000 extra for the Raptor. To me sounds Like crap. I have grown tired of My bike and want to get back in the dirt....It's been too long. Any advice? and what shoul I be expecting to pay???? Thanks

with a trade in, youre likely not to be able to talk them down on the price, so for a raptor, id say youd be talking about $6,000-$6,200. you might want to look into trying to find a dealer with an '03 instead of an '04. its the same bike, but usually towards winter dealers are selling last years' model cheap to make room for next years'. i dont know what youd expect to get for that ZX, theyre 8,000 new, and if its in good condition, id say theyll probably give you about 4,000 for it, give or take a few hundred. so, for a raptor thats anywhere from $5,500-6,000, with a trade in of about $3,500-4,000, you should expect to pay about $1500 to $2500 cash on top. its a bad time to sell so i can see why youre interested in trading in, but if youre not in a real hurry, knowing that the real atv season, at least for a raptor, is summer, you could wait til spring and put your ZX up for sale and get as much cash as you can, then go in and try to talk the dealer down, which is a lot easier when you have cash, instead of a trade in. hope this helps.

Default Buying A Raptor?

Yeah I know I have been getting so much input from so many people. It makes no sense really, They'll talk down the sticker price but then talk down my trade. I look at it this way. Blue book for the zx is $5,950 and it's in MINT condition. and it has extras...Which means squat to the dealers, SO I know theyre going to offer me 4 or maybe $4,300 and turn around and profit from it right off the bat.. Then Charge me like you are saying a couple grand to make even more all is said and done I'm 4 g in the hole and they are 4 g richer. I wish Just for once One of these people would be honest and look out for the consumer... It's such a scam. I went to another city and told this guy what I was looking to do He told me when all is said and done my ZX is woth more than an 04 raptor LE and that in actuality he would have to give me $$$ to balance it . But in reality that's not going to happen.. He offered me $4,300, I passed. I would seriously make an honest trade if someone was willing and Had a MINT raptor, any way thanks for the input
