What ATV
#1
I currently own a Yamaha warrior and I do like it but I want something a little more of a utility. I like to do all types of riding and have owned other quads but I am a little indecisive on what I really want now. I do want a 4X4 but don't want to give up the sporty fun. I don't know if I want to make the complete jump to a total utility though. How do Utilities really compare to the sports. Can you play just as hard and does the extra weight of the utilities make them seam like a huge boat? I do want to do work around my property also, I don't think anything to rough, and I don't do to much racing. I definitely don't want to down size to a smaller ATV. Sometimes I would like to have more power. I also like manual transmissions, just something about shifting it myself makes me feel better. Any help and opinions would be appreciated.

I like the Ranchers. It is the in between machine---not to small, but not a huge beast either. Sporty enough, but I wouldn't want to bash desert whoops all day on it though!
Someone is sure to suggest the Wolverine. Same engine as you Warrior. Never ridden one though.

I used to own a Warrior and like it a lot. But I like my Scramblers better. Going with the Scramblers would be a good step in the utility direction, but they don't have manual shift. The Scramblers are so much easier and funner to ride with automatic. Maybe old age is setting in. Good Luck

Man a scrambler 500 is the best all around sport/ utility quad out there "i think" its fast but not crazy fast i think it will go like 60-65 stock, i myself have never gotten stuck i ride in some nasty stuff too. you can wheelie, jump, go fast, and play were 2x4s can and the other good thing is you can turn the 4wd off when you dont need it and slip and slide around like a 2x4...
i think a scrambler 500 is the right quad for you!!
hope this helps...
