She rode my Kawasaki V-Force and said it was too big for her. She felt it was uncomfortable to ride. Mostly trail riding, occasional duning at the Oregon coast. It will be her first ATV and she said fully automatic transmission is a must (gas & go). 5'9" 140lbs. She rode a friends Polaris Scrambler 250 which was in dire need of a tune up/service and proclaimed it "gutless". Opinions?

Try a rancher 400AT. My wife never drove a quad in her life and drives my AT all the time. The power is good and the engine braking is amazing. It will crawl down a steep hill doing 3mph. Its nice to not have to worry if she is giving it to little or to much braking(as to lock up the wheels) on the steep hills.
