Default Keep the YFZ or trade for a Houser framed CRF450r?

I have the opportunity to trade my mint YFZ450 plus $2400 for a HOUSER framed Honda450R powered quad. It has an '02 CRF450 motor, long travel front end, no link rear, Lonestar axle, anti fade nut, beadlocks, Axis shocks front and rear, big radiator, anti vibe stem, etc. It seems to be in nice condition and he said it was only raced ten times. It was completed in July of this year. I know the frame, arms, and swingarm sell for over $4000 alone. My YFZ runs strong and I'm happy with it's overall performance, but I'm wanting something different. It would cost me $1700 minimum for a long travel front end for my YFZ. Just not sure what to do at the moment. I would appreciate any input or thoughts. Thanks

Thats a tough one. I have thought about buying one of these that are for sale all over instead of the 450R. I have always bought new quads, because I like to know their history. Race machines get beat, you know that, but 10 races is not alot.
Why is he selling, Pro Production?
IMO I would do it for a new Houser Framed quad, but not used. Just me though.

Thanks for the input. I asked him to compare the motors between the two. He said the YFZ definitely had a harder hit and revved fast. He said the CRF motor had better off the bottom and had a smoother power delivery. I know Houser makes a great product and it seems to be a decent deal. Still don't know yet.

There is a reason he is willing to trade, think about it. Now that the YFZ is proven, there are a lot of custom MX machines for sale.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me if you race a lot. However if you don't race then keep the YFZ.

After giving it more thought I decided not to make the trade. I only race a couple times a year so I decided not to through with the deal. Thanks for the response.
