I have made up my mind that i either want a predator or a YFZ. Now the hard part is picking which one out of the both. I would rather just get them both but i don't see my self winning the lotto anytime soon[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] Which quad you do personally think is a better buy? and which one is faster stock?

 

Well what kind of riding are you going to be doing? And, I don't think either one is faster if so maybe by 1 mph. I know the yfz does 72-74 and I think the predator does 73-74 but the yfz has quicker acceleration but they have about the same top speed.

 

I would be doing a little bit of everything but mostly riding on a mx track

 

Then go with the yfz. That's basically what it was made for.

 

The weight issue alone should make this an easy one.

 

I had the same problem you had when i went to buy my fourwheeler. I chose the 450 and dont regret it.

 

What about in the woods,or the sand dunes? The 450 or the 500?

 

Top speed on a predator is faster but not by much (2mph).. The yamahahahaha is lighter and accelerates a little bit faster but tends to lift the front alot. ITs a 50/50 choice

 

I don't know why everyone is anti polaris..?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] I would NEVER pay $7,000 for a quad thats as much as i paid for my 66 mustang.. If you don't race get the predator is the best all around quad out there with all the good stuff that comes stock.. The YFZ is the most uncomfortable quad i have ever been on.. don't get me wrong the YFZ is a very good performing quad but if you don't race and just want a quad to ride race your friends the predator is the quad of choice...

don't take this the wrong way, i respect your opinion on things the info you have is some of the best..

I think the predator weighs more because of the better tires, rims, axle etc that is comes with stock, 415lbs is not all that much, the pounds can add up fast when your axle may be 3lbs more tires 10lbs more etc....

Thats just my theory....
