Quad advice for a jet skier
#1
I’ve been into jetskiing for a long time and ride a stand-up in the surf, etc. Dumped in a ton of $$...but I’m fairly comfortable w/ two strokes, modifications, etc. My brother bought a few warriors a while back, now I’m thinking of jumping into this sport as well. I’m leery of 4 strokes and would like to be able to do some wrenching myself. I would ride about 50/50 sand and trails. A few questions:
Why is the Banshee supposed to be a bad trail bike?
How long to most recreational quads stay stock? (I’d never be able to stand riding a stock jetski)
If I buy used, what are the most important things to look at?
Thanks...

OK, so maybe the jetski comparison was a little too much. There are lots of used Banshees around here...is it really a bad on the trails? If so, why, other than no reverse?
Also, are these things really so sensitive to elevation changes that you’d actually have to rejet? Like say sea level (dunes) versus 3000 feet (mountain trails). My jetski may require a little adjustment on the high and low screws, but nothing as drastic as rejetting.

i have never ridden one...but heres what ive heard...no reverse...some trails youd be much happier with it...its not meant to be closed in..its meant for wide open dunes riding...no tourque for obsticles...might not be the best 1st quad either...powerful...
