I am thinking about trading in myh 2004 Polaris 500 HO on a new honda 400 rancher at. My polaris has 1006 miles and 70 hours on it. It basically looks brand new. How much could I probably get in trade in? How much could I get to sell it probably?

 

I'd check the NADA and KBB values. Also check to see what certain quads are selling for in your area.

I'd sell it privately to make as much as you can off of it.

 

Just out of curiosity, why do want to trade the 500HO for a Rancher?

 

I can't get used to the engine break and I think it will have more maintance than the honda. There is alot more parts to go bad on the polaris.

 

It took some getting use to but I really like the engine brake on my SP500. Don't know much about the Rancher but wouldn't give up my Sportsman.

 

You could get more out of it if you sold it, but check NADA when I traded mine in that is what the dealership went by that I traded to. I took mine to trade at another dealer and they wasnt going to give me nothing and then I went where I traded and they gave close to what I was going to sale for.
