i want an atv that is fast! i want to race but also do some jumping. i also will just be riding in open fields, and cealred out trails in woods. is the honda 400ex any good? whats better then 400ex or the yamaha banshee or raptor???

 

Sounds like this will be your first "sport" quad so I would say go with the 400ex, it will suit all your needs and is easy to mod as you progress in skill[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

The 400 class bikes are great all-around machines. I would pick the Honda 400EX for tighter, more technical terrain, and the Suzuki Z400 for more open trails. (The EX motor doesn't mind being lugged down in slow stuff, and the Z likes to rev out on the fire roads. The Z also has reverse). The Banshee is no trail bike, and the Raptor is powerful, but kind of top heavy and tippy.

The 400ex is a great all around machine, and if you get bored of the stock power, mods are cheap and easy to find...

 

I just wanted to see if I could make a less blurry Rex. It is also something like 60 x 58. Very close to the allowed 60 x 60. I wish I could put this Rex above Bings name. The dogs too cute to be blurry.

I start to play when I get bored.

 

The 400 ex would be good for you...but if you want reverse then check out the 400 class...kfx and z and the artic cat(all the same sep plastic pretty much)
