Default Help with buying a new or used utility 4-wheeler

I have a 2001 Sportsman 500 right now but its junk---keep having problems with it. Its a good machine maybe I just got a bad one. Anyways I can spend from about $4500 to $6000 for a new or used machine. I want at least a 400cc. Its mainly for hunting some serious trails in AK. I like having extra power though too. I want the most reliable thing I can buy. I keep hearing bad things about Grizzlys and I was going to buy a 2002 but may not now. Also may look into the Kodiak 450----is it quicker than a 400?---any help would be great---Dave

Have you tried a Prairie 650 or 700? Low center of gravity, will satisfy your quickness question in a hurry.

scroder,

What about the Artic Cat 400? Nice ride, real reliable and it keeps up with my Kodiak450 on those real rough AK trails. I see your still hunting for that perfect quad? Good Luck.

AlaskaBoy.

The Kodiak 450 is probably a good choice. Have you looked at any Suzuki Vinson 500s? They run about the same price and are pretty sporty.

Well, that didn't work. When you click on the first emotion icon it was supposed to show a pic. But it didn't so I'm done. Have a great day! Please don't forget to tip your waiter or waitress on your way out. Thanks for coming.
