Default Vinson500 vs Sportsman500HO

The American non-American is a total misconception. Where do you think Suzuki gets its steel from to make the frames? US Steel insudtry!!! Where does Polaris get its motors from? Japan!!! Where does the all the rubber come from? Africa!!!

When buying a machine the only things to consider are your personal riding preferences, Type of terrain you want to ride, and your relationship with a dealer. All the manufactures put out quality machines. Suzuki has style and lighter weight. It will be more sportier if the that is what you want then get it. The sportsman is legendary for its plush ride and powerful motor. The IRS will be smoother in the rough stuff then the Vinson.

Trails= Toss up the IRS will be of little benefit if you are just riding a trail
MUD= Polaris Better 4WD System, Ground clearence, and power.
Rocks= Polaris will shine over the Vinson
Sport fast riding above 30mph= Vinson The solid axle and lighter weight will react better to the changes in direction

dude get a polaris 500H.o theres no reason at all to get a vinson over one i have to with 1000 miles on it and not a problemyet... You'll be poullin wheelies past em..

Ands let me tell you you weont get this beast stuck.. if any other quad that u are riding with can only go through something in 4-wheel drive this bike will go through it in 2 wheel drive. I laugh at the yammies hung up up ruts in 4wd when i crawl over them with a passenger in 2wd

I'm going to buy my second quad soon, and i'm facing some of the same decisions that you are. Here in n. california the only polaris dealers are guys that sell trailers. No real dealerships, the same for artic cat. That's why so many japanese bikes are sold. I'm waiting for the new king quad to come out before i make my decision. I'm currently favoring the new kodiak 450. I own an eiger now, and have been real happy with the performance, it's a great trail bike, which is 90% of the riding i do. I've just heard so many bad stories about polaris, and there so heavy. I haven't even went to look at them, although if you compare feature to feature on paper, they have what i'm looking for. I'll probably end up buying the king quad.

Go luck. I got the Vinson and am very happy with it. I ride with both Sportsman 500 HOs and 700 and I am happy to say the Vinson is every bit as good plus it's cheaper.

Get the KQ if you have money though. I can't wait go get one.
